Prayer is a critical part of a Christian's life. It is how we talk to God and one of the ways we grow our relationship with Him. It can be very private, whispered so only He can hear it, and it can be shared for all to hear. Praying is incredibly easy to do; just open your heart to God and share with Him. Whether it's to thank Him for the many blessings He has given, to confess and ask forgiveness for your mistakes, or to ask Him to help you or a loved one that is ill or suffering, prayer DOES make a difference. Prayer is integral to our worship services, group studies, and even when we get together for coffee or fellowship. If you have a concern that you would like for us to pray about with you, please send a note to Pastor Jasmine at Pastor@AtlantaFirstUMC.org.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
